Epidemiology
- Uncommon neoplasm
- Most common in middle-aged adults
- 50% are endobronchial in location
Physiology
- Benign lung neoplasm
- May be endobonchial
- Some cases may actually represent Benign Metastasizing Leiomyoma
Diagnosis
- CXR/Chest CT Pattern: sharply-defined, lobulated solitary lung nodule (in 50% of cases)
- Occasionally, multiple
Clinical
(usually asymptomatic)
- Cough/expectoration
- Obstructive symptoms
- Signs of obstruction
