Physiology
- Inspissated mucus which accumulates within bronchus distal to point of obliteration (distal lung parenchyma is hyperinflated)
Diagnosis
- CXR/Chest CT Pattern: oval, smooth, sharply-defined nodule
- Location: strong predilection for apical-posterior bronchus of LUL
- Calcification: absent
- Absence of cavitation
