Flexima Pigtail Catheter (Boston Scientific)

• Procedure for Removal:
  • Bend tube to prevent escape of air from pleural space
  • Cut tube distal to point of bend (distal = farther from chest wall) -> this releases the internal pigtail suture
  • Pull tube from pleural space
