Benign Metastasizing Leiomyoma
Epidemiology
- Occur mainly in females
- 80% of cases are associated with prior uterine surgey for fibroids
Etiology
Physiology
- Metastasis of (probably) a well-differentiated leiomyosarcoma to lungs
Pathology
Diagnosis
Clinical
- Multiple Lung Nodules (see [[Lung Nodule or Mass]]): usually indolent behavior
Treatment
- Hormonal therapy: may be useful
