Pharmacology

• Triazole Anti-Fungal
  -Inhibits lanosterol 14-alpha demethylase (more potently than itraconazole)-> inhibits synthesis of ergosterol -> this disrupts the packing of acyl chains in phospholipids, impairing fungal membrane-bound systems (ATPase, electron transport enzymes)
• Metabolism: predominantly hepatic
